A Plan for Everyone Google's New AI Tiers

Google has structured its offerings into three distinct tiers to cater to a wide range of users, from casual enthusiasts to power users and businesses. The goal is to enhance creativity, boost productivity, and support advanced research capabilities.

  • Google AI Plus: This entry-level plan is priced at RM23.99 per month, with a significant discount dropping it to RM11.99 per month for those who sign up for a six-month term. Subscribers get access to the Gemini app, Flow video generation, and 200 monthly AI credits.

  • Google AI Pro: Aimed at professionals, this tier costs RM97.99 per month and comes with a generous free six-month trial. It unlocks more powerful tools like NotebookLM, Flow, and deeper Gemini integration across Google Workspace apps like Docs, Vids, and Gmail.

  • Google AI Ultra: For the most demanding users, this premium plan is available for RM614.90 per month with a three-month commitment. It features Google's most advanced model, Gemini 2.5 Pro, along with higher usage limits for all creative tools.

Google vs OpenAI The AI Showdown in Malaysia

The launch positions Google as a formidable competitor to OpenAI, which has already established a presence in the Malaysian market. For comparison, OpenAI's ChatGPT subscriptions start at RM38.99 per month.

ChatGPT's most advanced plan costs RM999.90 monthly, offering users extended access to its top model, GPT-5, alongside powerful image generation and advanced reasoning tools. Google's tiered and competitive pricing strategy is a clear signal of its intent to capture a significant market share.

Nurturing Future Talent with AI

This initiative is designed to embed Google's AI tools within the next generation of professionals and researchers, fostering widespread familiarity and innovation.
