Officials at Kingston Community Schools in Kingston, Michigan, have reported that a threatening message targeting a school over the weekend was created using artificial intelligence. The incident prompted an immediate investigation by school authorities and local law enforcement.

Investigation Confirms Threat as Non-Credible

In a formal announcement posted on the district's Facebook page, Superintendent Shona Vennevy confirmed that a thorough investigation found the threat to be fake. The message, which had alarmingly used a real student's photo, was deemed not credible.

"At this time, there is no credible or ongoing threat to our students, staff, or school community," Vennevy stated. "Our top priority remains the safety and well-being of everyone on campus. We are continuing to work closely with law enforcement to ensure our school remains a safe and secure environment for all."

Authorities Take Swift Action

The Kingston Village Police Department has successfully identified the students responsible for the incident. According to officials, the involved students have been removed from the school. The case has now been forwarded to the Tuscola County Sheriff's Office to review for possible charges.
