ChatGPT Revolutionizes E-commerce with UPI Payments
In a significant move merging conversational AI with e-commerce, OpenAI has launched a pilot program in India enabling ChatGPT users to make purchases using the Unified Payments Interface (UPI). This initiative, developed in collaboration with the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) and fintech firm Razorpay, marks a new frontier for chatbot functionality.
The pilot's first retail partner is Bigbasket, the Tata Group-owned e-commerce platform. This integration allows users to order groceries and other products directly within the ChatGPT interface, creating a seamless and conversational shopping experience from start to finish.
