ChatGPT Forecasts a Bearish Week for Ripples XRP

The cryptocurrency market has taken a significant hit over the past week, and Ripple's native token, XRP, has not been spared. Following a flash crash that briefly pushed its price below $1 on some exchanges, the asset is on track to close the week with another double-digit decline. Now, an analysis by ChatGPT suggests that more difficulties may be on the horizon for investors.

ChatGPT's Bearish Outlook

XRP's performance is a far cry from its mid-summer rally, which saw it surge from $2.20 to a new all-time high of $3.65. Since that peak, the token has fallen by nearly 40% and has slipped two positions in the rankings of the largest cryptocurrencies by market capitalization.

According to ChatGPT, the sentiment within the crypto community is predominantly negative. The AI noted that while market leaders remain volatile, other major altcoins like ETH and BNB have managed the downturn better than XRP. It described Ripple’s token as “lagging hard,” which could indicate a “rotation away from slower-moving assets.”

Consequently, the AI's prediction for the upcoming week is not favorable for the XRP community. It identified initial strong resistance levels at $2.20 and $2.10. These levels could halt any potential upward movement and may precede a drop toward the $2.00 mark, a level that some analysts believe XRP is destined to test. If the price does fall to that line, it would encounter a more significant support level that was established in the spring of 2025.

In the less likely scenario of a price reversal, XRP's first resistance targets are at the $2.40-$2.50 range, with a more substantial hurdle at $2.80.

Bears Expected to Remain in Control

After a 19% weekly and 24% monthly decline, a bullish outlook is difficult to justify. ChatGPT gives a bearish continuation the highest probability for the week ahead, at 45%-50%. The analysis reinforces the importance of the support levels mentioned, stating that XRP must hold the $2.00 line to prevent a potential nosedive to as low as $1.60.

While the bears are favored, the AI also acknowledged the possibility of a tactical rebound after such a significant correction. It assigned a 35% probability for a bounce to the $2.50 and $2.60 range. Interestingly, ChatGPT considers a period of price stabilization between $2.10 and $2.40 to be the least likely outcome, with only a 15% to 20% chance.

“The momentum and sentiment both lean bearish, but the setup looks technically oversold. Base case: mild continuation lower early in the week, followed by potential stabilization near $2.00.
