According to Wang Jian, the visionary founder of Alibaba Group Holding Ltd.’s cloud and AI division, as many as nine-tenths of the AI technologies and services that have recently emerged could disappear within the next decade.

To propel the next stage of AI development, Wang, who built Alibaba's cloud business from the ground up in 2009, urges developers to cut through the noise and think more creatively about the technology's vast possibilities.
