A Prophet Under Scrutiny

Once a prominent prophet, Bolz's reputation has been challenged recently. He has faced alienation from major charismatic leaders and organizations like Sid Roth, TBN, and Bethel Church. This followed multiple allegations, including claims that he used secretly gathered social media data to deliver so-called 'prophetic words.' One such prophecy allegedly resulted in a woman marrying an abusive partner.

The separation from Bethel Church became particularly public after leaked text messages from Kris Vallotton, the church's head prophet, described Bolz as a fake. Later, a formal statement from Bethel suggested Bolz had engaged in false prophecies and sexual harassment.

How AI is 'Catching Up' to Faith

During a recent episode of his show, Bolz insisted that AI is now interpreting heavenly prayer languages. He expressed amazement at how technology is “catch[ing] up to some of the spiritual fruit that we have as Christians.”

He shared an anecdote to illustrate his point:

"One of my friends reached out to me whose also a journalist and a writer, and she said, ‘have you done the ChatGPT tongues thing yet?’ And I said, ‘what are you talking about?’ She goes, ‘I spoke in my prayer language on ChatGPT, and it actually interpreted some of my prayer language in different languages around the world.’"

Bolz claims this is now a "YouTube trend," with many people inputting their spiritual language into ChatGPT and receiving interpretations of words or even full phrases. He continued:

"One of the people I saw online, it was ancient Sumerian that somehow ChatGPT understood. And so I think that’s really wild that there’s languages being spoken by Christians in their prayer language and we’re seeing AI catch up to some of the spiritual fruit that we have as Christians, especially those of you who are charismatic or Pentecostal and you guys believe in speaking in tongues. It’s pretty profound."
