For any photographer, filmmaker, or graphic designer, the most crucial moments of inspiration often strike during the initial ideation phase. Recognizing this, Adobe created Firefly Boards, an AI-first collaborative space designed for exploring, iterating, and brainstorming in real time. It brings together top-tier AI models, including Adobe Firefly's own models and those from partners like Black Forest Labs, Google, Luma AI, Moonvalley, Pika, and Runway. After a successful beta period within the Adobe Firefly ecosystem, which has provided deep insights into the creative brainstorming process, the platform is ready for a wider audience.

Today, Adobe is launching Firefly Boards worldwide, equipping it with even more power and flexibility. This global release introduces two new industry-leading video models, Runway Aleph and Moonvalley Marey, offering creators expanded choices for exploring their ideas. Additionally, three new features—Presets, Generative Text Edit (beta), and Describe Image—have been added to help you move from inspiration to iteration faster than ever. To make these tools more accessible, Adobe is also rolling out new flexible subscription plans and updated ways to use generative credits.

"Creative is messy; [Firefly] Boards clears all of it up. It's a limitless space to collect, sort, ideate, remix, and build without judgment. [Firefly] Boards are a peek into my creative self... It helps me find clarity, save time, and achieve stronger creative output along with collaboration and action." - Chris Grubisa, CEO Let’s Cook Editing Services

Supercharge Your Workflow with New AI Features

Firefly Boards was designed from the ground up to support the iterative and collaborative nature of creative work. It eliminates the need to juggle multiple tools and streamlines feedback loops by providing a unified space where inspiration, generation, and alignment can happen seamlessly. The platform now includes three new features to accelerate this process even further:

  • Presets: Quickly generate images in various styles with a single click. Use presets like Product and Character to visualize a product with a model, Virtual Try On for fashion concepts, or Electric Party to transform portraits. These presets are powered by Adobe Firefly and partner models, serving as a rich starting point for creative exploration.
  • Generative Text Edit (beta): Update or replace text directly within your visuals without leaving the Boards environment. This feature intelligently matches the context of the image, making it perfect for rapid iterations and on-the-fly adjustments that keep your creative flow uninterrupted.
  • Describe Image: If you have an image you like but want to modify, Describe Image can analyze it and generate a ready-to-use prompt. This makes it incredibly easy to build upon existing inspiration without struggling to find the right words to describe it.

These new features are all designed to provide greater creative control and freedom, helping you bring your vision to life more efficiently.

“Using Firefly Boards, I can quickly generate and iterate multiple visual concepts for a creative commercial proposal. It saves me time, lets me refine my storyboards effortlessly, and helps me deliver a polished moodboard to the client in record time..." - Malick Lombion, Filmmaker and Creative Director

Expanded Video Generation with Leading AI Models

Adobe's vision for Firefly is to be the ultimate destination for creators to access the best AI models in one place. With today's launch, Runway Aleph and Moonvalley Marey generative video models are now available directly within Boards. They join an expanding roster of top models, including Luma AI’s Ray3, Google’s Gemini 2.5 Flash Image, Pika 2.2, and Runway Gen-4. This gives creators more starting points to explore styles and build multi-modal workflows. For example, a filmmaker can now use Runway Aleph to generate storyboards from a reference video and then refine them with conversational edits, all within the same platform.

Flexible Plans for Every Creator

To meet the diverse needs of the creative community, Adobe is also updating its Firefly subscription offerings. Current plans are being renamed for clarity, and a new line of Firefly Standard, Pro, and Premium plans will offer even greater value by including Photoshop (web and mobile) and Adobe Express Premium. All plans continue to provide unlimited canvases for boards and access to the growing library of industry-leading partner models.
