His excitement is backed by impressive numbers. The Nano Banana AI image generator, which launched in August and allows for precise edits, has been a massive hit. According to a post on X by Josh Woodward, VP of Google Labs, its popularity led to a 300 million image surge for Gemini in just the first few days of September.

Huang's upbeat mood was also fueled by significant business developments. His company was among several major US tech firms announcing substantial investments in the UK’s AI infrastructure. Speaking ahead of an event with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Huang expressed his belief that the country is “too humble” about its potential for AI advancements, citing its history of innovation.

As part of this push, Nvidia announced a $683 million equity investment in datacenter builder Nscale. Huang projected that Nscale could generate over $68 billion in revenue over six years, confidently stating, "I’ll go on record to say I’m the best thing that’s ever happened to him,” referring to Nscale CEO Josh Payne.

Beyond the investments, Huang spoke candidly about his personal relationship with AI. “I use it every day and it’s improved my learning, my thinking," he shared. "It helps me write, helps me think, it helps me formulate ideas."

Frankly, I think the quality of work is better.”
