Nvidia CEO Reveals His Top AI Tools
Nvidia CEO Reveals His Top AI Tools and Daily Workflow
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang recently offered a fascinating glimpse into his daily life, revealing a deep appreciation for AI tools that extends far beyond the boardroom. While in London discussing major UK investments, Huang couldn't help but share his personal enthusiasm for a variety of AI applications, most notably Google's viral image generator.
Huang's Enthusiastic Endorsement of Google's AI Image Generator
In a room full of journalists, Huang outed himself as a massive fan of Gemini’s Nano Banana. “How could anyone not love Nano Banana? I mean Nano Banana, how good is that? Tell me it’s not true!” he passionately asked the room. “I was just talking to Demis [Hassabis, CEO of DeepMind] yesterday and I said ‘How about that Nano Banana! How good is that?’”
His excitement is backed by impressive numbers. The Nano Banana AI image generator, which launched in August and allows for precise edits, has been a massive hit. According to a post on X by Josh Woodward, VP of Google Labs, its popularity led to a 300 million image surge for Gemini in just the first few days of September.
Nvidia's Big Bet on the UK's AI Future
Huang's upbeat mood was also fueled by significant business developments. His company was among several major US tech firms announcing substantial investments in the UK’s AI infrastructure. Speaking ahead of an event with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Huang expressed his belief that the country is “too humble” about its potential for AI advancements, citing its history of innovation.
As part of this push, Nvidia announced a $683 million equity investment in datacenter builder Nscale. Huang projected that Nscale could generate over $68 billion in revenue over six years, confidently stating, "I’ll go on record to say I’m the best thing that’s ever happened to him,” referring to Nscale CEO Josh Payne.
How the Nvidia CEO Uses AI for Work and Creativity
Beyond the investments, Huang spoke candidly about his personal relationship with AI. “I use it every day and it’s improved my learning, my thinking," he shared. "It helps me write, helps me think, it helps me formulate ideas."
The leather-jacket-wearing billionaire, who had previously told WIRED about using AI agents, elaborated on how he uses AI as a thinking partner for daily tasks, including public speeches and research. “It’s a thinking partner, it’s truly terrific, and it saves me a ton of time. Frankly, I think the quality of work is better.”
His favorite tool depends entirely on the task at hand. Here's a breakdown of his preferred AI lineup:
- For technical tasks: He turns to Gemini.
- For creative or artistic work: He prefers Grok.
- For fast information access: Perplexity is his choice for its excellent presentation of research.
- For everyday use: He enjoys using ChatGPT.
When the stakes are high, Huang employs a multi-AI strategy. “When I am doing something serious I will give the same prompt to all of them, and then I ask them to... critique each other’s work. Then I take the best one.”
The Democratization of AI: An Opportunity for All
Ultimately, Huang sees tools like Nano Banana as more than just a novelty; they represent the future of accessible technology. “AI should be democratized for everyone. There should be no person who is left behind,” he argued.
“AI is the single greatest opportunity for us to close the technology divide,” Huang concluded, emphasizing the intuitive nature of modern AI. “This technology is so easy to use—who doesn’t know how to use Nano?”
