Hunter Biden Fires Back at CNNs Jake Tapper
Hunter Biden delivered a sharp takedown of CNN’s Jake Tapper, accusing the anchor of “poor journalism,” suggesting his books were written with ChatGPT, and claiming that even his colleagues don’t like him.
During an appearance on Mediaite reporter Tommy Christopher’s Substack, the former first son directly addressed Tapper, who recently co-authored the controversial book “Original Sin” about former President Joe Biden’s mental decline.
Acknowledging the Past, Attacking the Present

Hunter acknowledged Tapper's apparent criticism of his past actions. “[Tapper] says that I’m a scumbag and I’m a this and that and the other thing. And you know what? You can read my book all about my scumbaggery. I wrote all about it,” he said.
He continued, reflecting on his personal struggles: “And addiction is a really, really, really ugly thing. Divorces are really, really, really ugly things. I don’t live my life to impress Jake Tapper, but I just think it’s really, really poor journalism.”
Questioning Tapper's Relevance and Reputation
Hunter didn't stop at criticizing Tapper's journalism; he went on to question his relevance and professional relationships, calling the news anchor “irrelevant.”

He claimed that Tapper only “ranks about 35 or 40” among the top cable news shows and suggested the audience for such programs is in decline.
“I don’t know many people that like Jake, okay? I really don’t. And I lived in DC for a very long time,” Hunter said. “And I’m sure you can say the same about me, but … I don’t know many of his colleagues that like him or that respect him.”
The ChatGPT Accusation and Book Criticism

Hunter also took a swipe at Tapper’s new book, “Race Against Terror,” an account of a jihadist’s trial published this month.
“I think Jake’s got to cool it on the ChatGPT and maybe give it at least a four-month period of time before he gives us another book,” Hunter said, prompting a shocked “Wow” from the interviewer.
Finally, he slammed CNN for allowing Tapper to frequently promote “Original Sin” on the network ahead of its release.

“It was definitely an infomercial for his book,” he stated.
CNN did not immediately respond to requests for comment on the matter.
