Kim Kardashian Reveals Bar Exam Results After Using ChatGPT
Kim Kardashian's journey into the legal world, inspired by her late father Robert Kardashian and her own prison reform advocacy, has been a closely watched public endeavor. Since beginning her law studies in 2019, she has successfully passed the preliminary 'baby bar' exam and undertaken a rigorous four-year apprenticeship with a San Francisco law firm. After her first attempt at the full bar exam this year, the question on everyone's mind was finally answered.
The Verdict Is In
After much anticipation, Kim Kardashian took to her Instagram Stories to share the results of her bar exam. She candidly announced that she did not pass on her first try, but remains fully committed to her goal.
“Well…I’m not a lawyer yet. I just play a very well-dressed one on TV,” she wrote. “Six years into this law journey, and I’m still all in until I pass the bar. No shortcuts, no giving up—just more studying and even more determination. Thank you to everyone who has supported and encouraged me along the way so far.”

She framed the setback not as a defeat, but as a motivator. “Falling short isn’t a failure—it’s fuel,” she continued. “I was so close to passing the exam and that only motivates me even more. Let’s Go!!!!!!!!!”
An Experiment with AI Study Tools
This news follows a recent admission that has added an interesting layer to her study process. During a Vanity Fair Lie Detector video, Kim revealed that she had used AI assistance, specifically ChatGPT, to help her prepare for law school exams. However, her experience was far from positive.
“I use it for legal advice,” Kim explained. “So, when I am needing to know the answer to a question, I’ll take a picture and snap it and put it in there. They’re always wrong. It has made me fail tests all the time.”
She even shared a humorous anecdote about her interactions with the AI. “And then I’ll get mad and yell at it and be like, ‘You made me fail. Why did you do this?’” she said. “And it will talk back to me... it’ll say back to me, ‘This is just teaching you to trust your own instincts. You knew the answer all along.’”
What's Next for the Aspiring Lawyer?
Despite this hurdle, Kim's ambition to become a lawyer remains unshaken. During her press tour for the show All's Fair, she reiterated her long-term vision. She hopes to eventually “give up” being Kim K and pivot fully to a career as a trial lawyer.
Speaking on The Graham Norton Show, she discussed her evolving career path. “I always want to be growing, curious and evolving, and I want to see wherever that takes me,” she said, according to a report from People. At the time, while still awaiting her results, she was optimistic about her future in law: “I hope to practice law. Maybe in 10 years, I think I’ll give up being Kim K and be a trial lawyer. That’s what I really want.” Her journey, including its public setbacks and technological experiments, continues to unfold.
