According to a recent report by TechCrunch, the forthcoming iOS 26 update will empower IT administrators to configure the use of enterprise-level ChatGPT. This business-focused version offers enhanced privacy controls, significantly higher usage limits, and valuable features like the ability to integrate company-specific data, providing a more secure and powerful AI tool for employees.
A Future Beyond a Single AI Partner
The most significant revelation is that Apple has engineered this integration with modularity at its core. The system is not hardwired exclusively for OpenAI. Instead, Apple's support documentation suggests that IT departments will have the power to approve or restrict any "external" artificial intelligence provider.
